I've been in the graphic design game for 25 years. Early in my career I focused on software design and development mostly in the form of interactive CD-Roms. Remember those boys and girls? As the industry shifted to web-based media, so did I. Of course the foundation of everything has always been design so I'm very well versed in print, user interface, user experience and strategy.
The first 18 years of my career were spent at a small agency. We didn't have account execs, project managers or dedicated writers for many of our projects. That meant that I had to fill all of those roles myself a lot of times. Not going to say I knocked it out of the park every time in every role, but it did help me develop a fairly versatile set of skills over the years.
Outside of work, my wife and I spend most of our time following our kids around. One is off at college now so it’s a little less hectic, but the Fall has atleast one of us driving up to Michigan once or twice a week to watch her play soccer. It’s a lot of road time, but it’s worth it. The other is just about to get his license, so keeping him out of trouble will be the task at hand for atleast a little while. Soon enough we’ll be empty nesters and either bored out of our minds or free as birds…guess we’ll have to wait and see which one.
I could keep going, but there's a pretty slim chance you've made it this far. If you did make all the way down here and want to know more about me, let's get together. I'd love to meet you for a pint, coffee or whatever your beverage of choice is.
